Show Jerry and Sharon Livingston how much we love them

W
Story

Jerry is going through chemo for pancreatic cancer.

Special Notes

Sharon is gluten intolerant. Jerry likes almost everything. Sharon does not like catfish or hotdogs. In restaurants they frequently share a meal or take home half of what they order. So, my suggestion is to keep in mind that food portions can be modest in size. These are items I know they like: pot roast (beef or pork) with potatoes, carrots, etc.; pork loin roasts; vegetable beef soups; meat loaf (made with gluten free cracker or bread crumbs); salmon patties (also made with gluten free cracker or bread crumbs); and baked chicken with no coating. Jerry likes fried chicken, but because that is usually made with a wheat flour based coating, Sharon cannot eat that. They like lettuce based salads with tomatoes, cucumbers, etc. (croutons need to be separated). As mentioned previously, pasts dishes are not good for Sharon. Gluten free crackers, breads and baking “flour” are available. There are also very good gluten free cake, brownie and cookie mixes available. They both like lots of flavors of ice cream and cheesecake. I suggest you label anything that may be perceived as having wheat in it so Sharon will know whether it is gluten free or not. I understand that Donna Klemme is bringing home made chicken soup to Sharon today. I hope this is helpful to you all. Thanks. Pam
