Hello to all my family, friends, neighbors and supporters. I appreciate each and every one of you. I started this page to share updates about my cancer journey and to allow others to be able to offer support and help during this difficult time. I don’t often ask for help, and honestly, I really don’t know how to ask for help. I’m the kind of person who is typically determined to just tackle things on my own. However, my care team has suggested that I allow others to assist me and my family with simple meals, tasks, grocery items … or any other things that might be helpful. With me being a busy body…as you all know… I prefer to stay busy. I enjoy having a calendar filled with community activities, fun outings, play dates, and more. But I’m struggling with the day to day stuff…. Most of the time I’m at work, running the pool business, and spending as much time as possible with my 5 year old son. As a family, we’re managing, but it gets stressful. Between all of the daily stuff, we’ve got the added pressure of Dr appointments, treatments, and what seems to be never ending home repairs. It’s been what I call the continuous series of unfortunate events. As I continue to fight for my health and kick this cancer out of me, I’m reminded that I have a lot of people who care. I want to thank YOU for being part of our family, our village, and our community. This was sort of expected, as the lymph nodes are extremely difficult to treat with radiation. So here we are in April of 2026… back in chemotherapy… stronger doses and different medications… but all to treat any potential cells that could be in my body. I’ve had 2 out of 6 treatments, and am continuing to remain positive that I will beat this!!! I am extremely grateful for each day that I wake up, even with the struggles. I smile, laugh, complain, and cry… but my fight isn’t over yet! I’m just going through another round. Thank you for reading my story and feel free to ask me questions anytime. With love, Sarah M.
Family meals— mostly pescatarian/vegetarian Please NO SOY , Mild wheat allergy -cheese is good, pastas, for the kiddo.. cheese pizza, Mac n cheese, chicken nuggets.. typical 5yr old Personal meals for me— high protein foods, meats (fish, chicken, pork, beef, turkey I’m not too picky), alkaline foods, Mediterranean diet recommended by doctors, love American diner style foods, Mexican food… also enjoy fresh fruits and salads, cooked vegetables. I have a mild allergy to wheat/gluten but no other known allergies. However, my taste buds are weird and I’m finicky with Parmesan cheese or stinky cheeses these days. I’m not a fan of citrus, rarely eat an orange, but cook with lemon or lime for flavor. I pretty much love anything mango or mango flavored. I also have a sweet tooth and love chocolate.
