My name is Justin, and I am currently facing one of the hardest chapters of my life. After recently becoming homeless, I was diagnosed with oral cancer, which has made my journey even more difficult. Right now, I am staying in a mental rehabilitation center, working every day to regain stability and prepare for the next step. In a few weeks, I hope to move into transitional housing, with the ultimate goal of finding a permanent place to call home. The process has been overwhelming, but I am determined to keep moving forward. Oral cancer has taken a serious toll on my health. Most of my teeth have either fallen out or broken, and I have endured painful injections into my gums to manage the constant discomfort. I have had several cysts removed from my mouth and am currently on oral chemotherapy medication. These treatments are essential, but they come with significant medical bills and daily challenges. The impact on my confidence has been profound, making it difficult to imagine returning to work, especially in roles that require interacting with others face-to-face. I am asking for help to cover medical bills, daily essentials, and the costs of getting back on my feet. My hope is that transitional housing will give me the foundation I need to rebuild my life. I want to continue my treatment, find a job that suits my current situation, and regain my independence. Any support will make a real difference in helping me move forward during this difficult time.
