Supporting the DeVivos during Carmella’s Surgery

W
Story

Carmella, our sweet 10-year-old, was diagnosed this past July with Myasthenia Gravis, a chronic autoimmune disease that causes fluctuating muscle weakness. It has been a difficult road, including two hospitalizations. This Monday, October 5th at 7:30 AM, Carmella will undergo surgery to remove her thymus gland. We are hopeful that this procedure will ease her symptoms and make the disease much easier for her to manage moving forward. The doctors anticipate one week in the hospital for recovery.

Special Notes

During this time, prayer is the best gift you can give! Please keep in your prayers: Carmella, Hannah and Jacob, her 4 siblings, and the doctors and nurses that will be helping her! If you would like to help in an additional way, gift cards are the most beneficial for the DeVivo family at this time so they can cover gas, food, and other expenses that will come up! Donating through this site is the easiest way to support their family! Any amount is greatly appreciated!
