🩶🩶To see daily most recent updates, side swipe through the updates above ^^^ Overall situation: Axton was suddenly diagnosed with a brain tumor and needed immediate surgery. The operation went well, but his tumor was cancerous and his treatment is ongoing. Surrounded by family and community support, Axton continues to show strength and determination every day. He received excellent care at Arthur M. Blank Hospital and was later transferred to Scottish Rite, part of Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. Axton begins Proton Therapy at the Emory Proton Therapy Center on September 10th for six weeks. During this time, Ax and his family will stay at the Ronald McDonald House. Rehab begins during and possibly afterwards, pending an assessment based on how Ax's body reacts to the proton therapy. This page is a central place to share updates, send encouragement, and coordinate support for Axton and his family.
