Anyone who knows Bernadette, knows she’s the first to show up when someone is in need—whether it’s a home-cooked meal, a ride for your kids, or just a listening ear. She’s the one who swoops in with a plan or a fresh loaf of sourdough when life gets hard. Taking care of others is simply who she is. She also HATES asking for help and will usually just do it all herself out of pure spite 🤣 But now, Bernadette is undergoing a double mastectomy, and while she’s handling the surgery itself with strength and grace, what’s weighing on her the most isn’t the procedure itself—it’s the thought of not being able to care for her family during the recovery period. So, it’s our turn to be there for her. Bernadette’s Breast Friends is a space where we can rally together, showing her the same love and support she’s given all of us. Whether it’s bringing a meal, helping with kid transport, or offering a few words of encouragement, every gesture reminds her that she’s not alone—and that we’ve got her covered, just like she’s always covered us.
Since the kids have several days off of school as well as spring break, Bernadette has expressed that her biggest ask would be that they still get to have some fun during their time off. If you’d like to take one or each of them for a play date or a fun activity that would be incredibly helpful! Clint will be working during that time so they would need to be picked up and dropped off.
