So our family has had a very bad start to the new year. Just before Christmas Dennis felt a lump in his chest and I made him go and get it checked right away. Christmas Eve he went for a mammogram and ultrasound which was abnormal. New Year’s Eve we followed up with a biopsy and the following week we got the call that he has cancer. The next few weeks will be very difficult s he will be having surgery on the 27th for a double mastectomy. This will be followed by monitoring for the rest of his life for other cancers as he tested positive for braca 2 gene. During the time of recouperation, we'd like to offer as much help as possible with meals to alleviate stress on the family.
