G’Bye Uterus!

Portland, OR

W
Story

After 28 years of dealing with debilitating periods due to severe endometriosis, I’m having a hysterectomy and endo excision on November 8th. It’s been a long, looooong road to get here (see: 28 years), from passing out as a young 10 and 11 year old girl from the pain, to advocating for myself for literal decades to get the help I needed because passing out every month and navigating almost weekly pain flares is not normal, to now finally having doctors who believe me and advocated for me to get this surgery. I’ll be in recovery for 6 weeks and will need help with a few things while I’m down. I won’t be able to lift/push/pull/drag anything over 20lbs during that time, so I’m principally going to need help walking my dog and getting food. The dates and needs are listed in the Care Calendar below. Additionally, I’ve made a wish list with a couple things that will aid my recovery, as well as some things to keep me entertained. (I’ve read that after the first 1-2 weeks, the restlessness and boredom become the hardest to deal with). You can check it here: https://throne.com/kit_katastrophic . Any and all help is appreciated ♥️
