Supporting the Lee Family in Their Time of Loss On August 8th, Ruth and Dakota Lee welcomed their precious son, Hendrix Louis Lee, into the world. Just two days later, on August 10th, Hendrix passed away after a brave fight in the NICU. Ruth underwent an emergency C-section following a sudden and severe placental rupture, requiring life-saving surgery. While Hendrix was life-flighted to Primary Children’s Hospital, Ruth remained recovering in their local hospital. The Lees are now navigating the unimaginable pain of saying goodbye to their baby while also facing the physical recovery from major surgery. In addition to overwhelming grief, they are managing medical bills, funeral expenses, and the day-to-day responsibilities of life. To help lift some of these burdens, we are organizing this Meal Train and In-Kind Donation Page. Our goal is to take care of everyday needs—meals, groceries, household essentials, gift cards, and other support—so Ruth and Dakota can focus on grieving, healing, and being surrounded by love. Ways You Can Help: Home-cooked meals or restaurant gift cards Groceries or grocery delivery gift cards Household items and essentials (paper goods, toiletries, cleaning supplies) Gas cards for hospital and appointment travel Gift cards to local stores or online retailers Comfort items (flowers, snacks, blankets, or care packages) Your kindness—whether through a meal, a gift card, or a thoughtful gesture—will help ease the weight on their hearts and shoulders during this heartbreaking time. Thank you for wrapping the Lee family in compassion and support as they navigate this profound loss. Every act of love matters more than words can express.
