Dear Loved Ones, It is with deep sorrow that we share that our beloved sister in Christ, Dr. Damaris-Lois Y. Lang, has entered eternal glory. We hold tightly to the same Savior she faithfully served every day of her life. Her loss is profound—for our family, the Hastings-On-Hudson community, her students, the P-Coc organization, and all who knew her. Damaris devoted her life to education, social justice, spiritual practice, and caring for others. Among her many gifts, her greatest is our son, Milo Franklin Zephaniah Lang. Damaris loved fiercely, showing her care through continuous, meaningful action. In her wise words she reminds us: "For joy and sorrow are travelers, not tenants. They come and go! For all that is made of change will change, it is their nature to do so. What you hold is your breath, your being, your now! So live it! One heart beat at a time, One sunrise at a time!" - Dr. D-L Y Lang Plans for a celebration of her life are still being arranged. We appreciate your patience and understanding during this time. With gratitude, The Lang and Yamoah Family
Thank you to everyone who has reached out with such comfort and support. Your kindness means more than words can express. Here are some ways to support the family: Quick Links: Cash or gift card donations can be made through Visa, Care Card, Paypal and Venmo. Calendar Sign-Up: The Lang family warmly welcomes support in the areas listed on the calendar, including child care for Milo, home services (housekeeping), and gift cards or cash for groceries. You can sign up using the “I’ll Help” links. Meals/Food Support: While every offer of help is truly appreciated, the family kindly asks that no meals be sent at this time. They prefer to prepare their own food and would be grateful for any contributions to the provided grocery gift cards offered in the calendar instead. Child Care: The family is creating a child care calendar, which will be updated as John’s needs evolve—please keep an eye out for changes. Those who have cared for Milo before are warmly invited to sign up once it’s updated. If you haven’t but would like to help, please contact Jared at (646) 261-6248. Home Service: Please use the “I’ll Help” link or Venmo/PayPal to contribute to the housekeeping fund. The family already has trusted services in place, but any support is deeply appreciated! Thank you for all your love and support.
