Judy Smith has been diagnosed with Stage 3 T-cell lymphoma, the most aggressive form of cancer. Because of her advanced age, the prognosis is less than 6 months. There are a limited number of medications available for her age group. With chemotherapy , there is a 50% possibility of adding another 7-8 months, so she has agreed to trying infusion and will be scheduled for an implant of a port in a few weeks. A few weeks after that infusion, she will be scheduled for another PET scan. Right now she is dealing with an infection in her knee from a recent knee revision surgery. Judy has no family to help support her through this journey. As her dog friend community we can offer her support by helping with meals, transportation, doctor’s appointments, chemo appointments, household chores and general support.
