Story
As most of you know by now, Treeta’s beloved husband, Robbie Mayfield, passed away on 5/20/25. He collapsed while working out at the Barton Creek Fitness Center, a place where he loved to be. Anyone who frequents that part of the Club knows that the room with the fruit and coffee is called “Robbie’s Office.” The Club’s staff and emergency responders worked with fast efforts and great care, but Robbie could not overcome the trauma his heart and body experienced. While our hearts are heavy with loss, we find deep comfort in knowing that Robbie is now in the presence of the Lord—restored, whole, and joyfully alive in his new heavenly body. His faith has become sight, and he is more alive now than ever before. May that promise bring peace to all who knew and loved him. Everyone who knows Treeta knows she is a woman of great faith who appreciates our thoughts and prayers. As an additional way of helping her through Robbie’s unexpected passing, we are setting up this Care Calendar to organize and scaffold support for her over time. Please sign up as you see fit and feel free to contact me directly (Lauri Schroeder ~ 830.237.1279) if you have other ideas or questions. Pam T. and Carole W. (both from our WOW Bible study at Austin Ridge) and Julia T. (Treeta's life-long friend) are also designated here as organizers.
Special Notes
Treeta likes to eat fruits and salads with chicken/protein - things that are pretty healthy. Other ideas include: soup in freezable portions, a comfort casserole, protein muffins, mini frittatas or mini quiches, a snack basket for the counter, pre-cut veggies in individual baggies, dark chocolate, homemade banana bread, green tea, smoothies, etc.
