In May 2025, Eli’s world—and the world of everyone who loves him—changed when he was diagnosed with epilepsy. He experiences focal aware seizures and tonic-clonic seizures, and since that day, he and his family have been fighting a battle no family should ever have to face. Eli has tried more than two dozen prescription medications and undergone multiple procedures in the search for answers and a way to control his seizures. Despite everything he has endured and every treatment attempted, his epilepsy remains drug-resistant. His family continues to navigate the uncertainty, fear, and exhaustion that come with not knowing when a seizure may happen or what the future holds. Now, Eli is scheduled for surgery on December 1st, bringing another major step in this incredibly difficult journey. As Jenna and Eduardo prepare for Eli’s surgery and recovery while continuing to care for their other children, I want to help take some of the weight off their shoulders. They have so much to focus on, and they shouldn’t have to worry about managing every meal, errand, and everyday responsibility on top of everything else. You don’t have to do something big to make a difference. Bringing dinner, running an errand, folding a load of laundry, helping with the kids, or simply giving Jenna and Eduardo a little time to breathe can mean more than you know. If you’d like to help in another way or have an idea that isn’t listed, please reach out! We’ll find a way to coordinate it. Tawnya: 602-688-1532 I’m hoping we can surround this family with so much love and support that they never have to wonder if they’re in this alone. We can’t take away the fear or the challenges Eli is facing, but we can help make the road ahead a little less overwhelming for the people we love. Let’s show Jenna, Eduardo, and Eli what it means to have a village behind them. Every meal, every helping hand, every act of kindness matters.
