No mother ever imagines watching her child spend more time in hospital rooms than at home. I dreamed of bedtime stories, playgrounds, scraped knees, and watching my little girl discover the world. Instead, I’ve learned the language of ventilators, surgeries, medications, and sleepless nights spent praying beside her hospital bed. My daughter, Elli’Anna, is the strongest person I’ve ever known. She has fought battles that most people will never have to face, and somehow she continues to smile through them. As her mom, there isn’t a place I’d rather be than right beside her. But the reality is that being a full-time caregiver while living through long hospital stays comes with challenges that are hard to put into words. I created this Give In Kind page because so many people have asked how they can support us. As a single mom, there are days when carrying everything alone feels incredibly heavy. Every meal, every gift card, every necessity, every prayer, and every act of kindness helps take one thing off my shoulders so I can give all of my energy to the little girl who needs me most. If you’ve found your way here, thank you. Thank you for seeing us. Thank you for believing in my daughter. And thank you for helping me keep my promise to her: that no matter how hard this journey gets, Mommy will always be right here, holding her hand through every step of the fight.
