After 6 months of pain in my shoulder, going to PT for a few months, and then having a cortisone shot into my left shoulder (that was effective for only a few weeks) without improvement, I'll be going in for a Distal Clavicle Excision on my shoulder to clean up the AC joint and clean up my collarbone of inflammation of December 17th. The surgeon estimates a 6 week recovery time. For those 6 weeks I'll be relying heavily on Tyler for assistance with the kids, cleaning around the house, laundry, as well as cooking until I'm allowed to use or lift with my left arm. Ive been told it will be roughly 6 to 8 weeks before I'd be able to pick up Andi who recently hit 39 lbs over Thanksgiving break. I've had a few friends suggest that I make this page so they can coordinate meals following surgery. I'm not one to ask for help often but I think this is one of the times I need help from my friends so its one less thing for Ty or I to worry about while I'm recovering.
