Welcome, sweet baby Leyla! Leyla arrived on September 8, and the D’Silva/Pascoe family is settling into life as a family of four. As they spend these first weeks resting, recovering, bonding, and finding their new rhythm together, we’d love to surround them with some practical support from their community. The biggest need right now is nourishing meals, along with an occasional helping hand around the house or some special time with Aadhya. Please use the Care Calendar below to choose a day that works for you. The family is hoping for about one or two friend visits each week over the next 4–6 weeks so that support can be spread out during the postpartum period. A home cooked meal, a little help with the dishes, some baby snuggles, or taking Aadhya out to the park can make a big difference right now. Thank you for helping this wonderful family feel cared for as they welcome Leyla!
Meals - Warm or frozen meals are especially appreciated. Meal gift cards are also very welcome if cooking or delivering isn't convenient. For postpartum recovery, the family is prioritizing meals that are cooked, soft, nourishing, and easy to digest. Food Preferences: • Prefer meat-free meals • Light, chopped, or shredded chicken is okay • No wheat, although food does not need to be strictly gluten free • No cheese *There are no allergies, so please don't stress about accidental ingredients or cross contamination. These are simply the foods that feel best for postpartum recovery right now.* Visits and Extra Help - If you are coming by and have the time and energy to help with something in addition to bringing a meal, that would be wonderfully appreciated. There will be a simple checklist near the entrance with things that could be helpful that day. Feel free to choose one or two things from the list. Help might include: • Something for Mom • Helping with baby • A small household task • Meal or food prep • On weekends, taking Aadhya out for some fun, like a park trip, scooter ride, or playdate If Aaron is home, feel free to ask him what would be most helpful. You can also check with Sahana if she is up and available. Thank you for loving on this family and helping make these early weeks with Leyla a little gentler.
