Story
Hi Friends & Family, We’re reaching out with love and a heartfelt request for help regarding the O'Dwyer family. Allison has recently been diagnosed with breast cancer, and they’ll need support during her recovery, particularly with meals and childcare. They’ll be looking for help from October 14-18 and then again from November 8 to December 8. Allison is facing this challenge with her usual humor and strength, but we know there will be some ups and downs along the way. She’s hoping to enjoy supergreens and smoothies, but she’s also open to other meals—just NO CASHEWS or PISTACHIOS , please. The girls prefer simpler foods, while James loves his meat and potatoes. Allison’s mom, Mary, will also be staying with them, and she doesn’t have any meal restrictions. Additionally, any support for the girls would mean the world to them. Mary will manage most of the transportation, but playdates would bring so much joy to the kids! Taking Alden to choir on Thursday nights or taking the girls to play at the park would be wonderful. And of course, LEGO activities are always a hit! We know many people aren’t local, so there are options for gift cards and delivery from local restaurants as well. Here are some favorites: 83 Vietnamese Cuisine, Siam terrace, Black dog, Ko-fusion, Watsons, Maize & Manolo’s pizza. We’ll be posting general updates here — feel free to reach out with any questions about how to help, activity ideas for the girls, or anything else you might think of. For cards or deliveries, their address is: 114 W Pennsylvania Ave, Urbana, IL 61801. Allison’s email is [email protected]. Thanks so much for being there for the O'Dwyer family. Your love and support mean the world to them during this time. Together, we can help lift their spirits and show them how much they are cherished!
