Meals with Love for Keith, Kelly and The kids As Keith continues his incredibly difficult battle with a rare form of esophageal cancer that has spread to his liver, his family and friends are coming together to surround both Keith and Kelly with as much love, comfort, and support as possible. Keith has always been the kind of person who would give anyone the shirt off his back. He’s the quiet guy with the unforgettable sense of humor—the one who can make everyone laugh without ever needing to be the center of attention. Now, during one of the hardest chapters of his life, we have an opportunity to return some of the kindness he has given to so many others. By Keith’s side through every appointment, difficult day, and uncertain moment is his wife and soulmate of 13 years, Kelly. She has been his advocate, his cheerleader, and his constant source of strength, all while continuing to work and manage the everyday responsibilities that don’t stop when a family is facing something like this. One simple but meaningful way we can help is by taking one thing off their plate—by putting something on it. ❤️ We have created this Meal Train to help make sure Keith and Kelly have meals available without having to worry about grocery shopping, cooking, or figuring out dinner after an exhausting day of appointments, treatments, work, or simply getting through the day. **When preparing meals, we kindly ask that you package food in individual portions whenever possible.** Cancer and treatment can make appetite unpredictable, and there may be days when Keith, Kelly or the kids just isn’t in the mood to eat at that particular time. Individual portions will allow meals to be easily frozen and reheated whenever they are ready for them, while also helping prevent food from going to waste. Freezer-friendly meals, soups, casseroles divided into smaller containers, individually wrapped portions, and other easy-to-reheat foods are especially appreciated. If possible, labeling the meal with what it is and simple reheating instructions would also be incredibly helpful. There is no meal too simple and no gesture too small. Whether it’s a homemade dinner, a favorite comfort food, or something that can be tucked away in the freezer for another day, every contribution is one less thing Keith and Kelly have to think about. More than anything, we want them to feel the community standing behind them. We may not be able to take away what they are facing, but we can help make the difficult days a little easier and remind them that they do not have to face them alone. Thank you for loving Keith, Kelly and the kids; for keeping them in your thoughts and prayers, and for helping care for two very special people during a time when they need it most. ❤️
