As many of you know, our sweet JJ has his open heart surgery coming up on August 3rd. We are putting all of our trust in God and would appreciate your prayers for a successful surgery, wisdom for his medical team, and a smooth recovery. JJ will be spending 2 weeks in the hospital recovering, so we’re trying to gather a few things to help keep him comfortable, entertained, and smiling during his stay. We created an Amazon Wish List with activities, toys, books, and comfort items that he would enjoy. Please know there is absolutely no expectation, your prayers alone are such a gift to our family. We also have one special request. If anyone would like to write JJ a letter, draw him a picture, or send him a card to read while he’s recovering, it would mean the world to him (and to us). During this time, the easiest thing for the family will be to receive gift cards for food or needed items. They will be back and forth from the hospital, transporting their other kids through other family members, and focusing on JJ’s recovery. If you do choose to bring a meal by their home or send a meal via delivery, please reach out to Jon, Raquel, or Sandra to confirm the best location for delivery or drop off.
