Many of you know that over the past 2+ years, my parents have been through an unimaginable journey. Between multiple surgeries, infections, months of being non-weight bearing, and countless hospital stays, my mom has fought harder than anyone I know. This Tuesday she’ll undergo another surgery (her 10th+ in just over two years) to repair ankle hardware that her body is rejecting while she continues treatment for an infection through a PICC line. As always, my dad has been by her side every step of the way. He’s become her full-time caregiver, helping with everything while balancing the day-to-day responsibilities of home. I’d love to take one thing off their plates during her recovery by organizing a meal train for the next few weeks.
