Hi! My name is James and I have a young family with a 2-year-old son starting out in southern Minnesota seeking treatments at Mayo Clinic, and we are between a rock and a hard place financially. While we settle down to find employment and our next steps, we need so much help to pull through these next few months, get to financial stability and regain a sense of calm. I have worsening colon cancer at the moment, and this relocation will make it possible for regular life-saving treatment, as previously, accessing that treatment was a 2-hour road trip each way. Three years ago, we were illegally evicted by an irresponsible landlord and lived in a broken-down van for months. So many kind people in our friends circles helped us get back into housing + work, but our needs have increased due to the relocation and urgent need for treatment, especially as state-sponsored healthcare funding is drying up. Unfortunately we cannot give out much personal information due to privacy and safety issues.
