Shannon's kid George, who is 18 and a senior in high school, fainted while out with friends. They hit their head, sustained a concussion, and was confused and unable to speak. They were brought to the hospital and their injury has now been determined to be a Traumatic Brain Injury. They are able to communicate via text and gestures, but unable to speak. The MRI indicated that they should be able to recover, but will need speech and cognitive therapy, in addition to doctor appointments. It's going to take some time and a lot of work to get back to normal. But we believe in George and their amazing mom Shannon! 🧡🩷💛
