On 4/25/22 a medium sized tumor was found in Lauren’s brain which she has named "Arnold". Since then it has been discovered that this little hitchhiker is taking up more and more space without paying any rent and needs to be evicted. Arnold is located in a very difficult area between several important nerves. Since brains are important, Lauren and Matt will be traveling to UC San Diego Medical Center to see a world renowned “Dream Team” of neurosurgeons who specialize in tumors located in this particular part of the brain. While we are comforted that Lauren will be in the best possible hands, traveling for surgery and the long recovery process presents our young family with several challenges. All we ask is for your love, support, and prayers during this difficult time but for those who would like to do a little more, we have added a few options on this page including a meal train starting when we return home from her surgery. UPDATE: Eviction Day has been scheduled! Arnold is getting kicked out on July 21st at UC San Diego. Lauren & Matt will be traveling to California on July 18th for pre-operative appointments and hopefully returning home on August 3rd as long as the doctors have cleared her to fly.
