Showing Love to The Wootens

Springhill, LA

W
Story

On Friday, May 22, our community was shaken when Lacy Wooten was suddenly airlifted to LSU Ochsner Medical Center after suffering a major brain bleed. Since then, she has undergone multiple procedures in an effort to stop the bleeding. During her hospitalization, it was also discovered that she had suffered a stroke. At this time, Lacy remains hospitalized and is expected to face a lengthy recovery that will include extensive rehabilitation. The full extent of her recovery and the long-term effects are still unknown. Many of you know Lacy as the smiling face behind Raggamuffins in Springhill. She is a devoted wife, loving mother, business owner, and friend to so many. Together, Lacy and her husband Shannon have built a life centered around faith, family, hard work, and services to others. Their two daughters, Chloe and Kipper, are truly the center of their world. In the midst of this difficult season, Chloe and Kipper have stepped up in incredible ways, taking on the responsibility of helping run their mother's business while Shannon works tirelessly to keep his own company running and makes the frequent trips back and forth to Shreveport to be by Lacy's side whenever possible. Anyone who knows Lacy knows that she was the heart of her home, always caring for everyone around her and making sure their needs were met. Her absence is deeply felt, and the emotional, physical, and financial strain on this family is significant. We are asking our community to come together and help ease some of that burden. One simple way to support the Wooten family is through this meal train. Providing a meal allows Shannon, Chloe, and Kipper one less thing to worry about during this overwhelming time and gives them more opportunity to focus on what matters most- supporting Lacy and each other. Thank you for every prayer, meal, donation, message, and of act of kindness. Your support means more than words can express. Please continue to lift Lacy, Shannon, Chloe, and Kipper up in prayer as they navigate the days and weeks ahead. Together, we can surround this family with the same love and care they have so freely given to our community for so many years. If you are unable to provide a meal, please continue to pray for healing, strength, and comfort for the Wooten family during this difficult journey.
