Meals for Dan and Kristi Hughes

W
Story

Here’s a polished and clearer version that keeps the warmth and church-family feel: As many of you heard through the Prayer Chain on Sunday, 5/31, Dan Hughes was taken to the ER that evening with extremely low oxygen and high carbon dioxide levels. He had been falling asleep frequently and was very difficult to wake up. Doctors ultimately needed to place him on a ventilator, and he remained hospitalized for most of the week while recovering. The good news is that Dan is able to go home today! We are so thankful for your prayers, encouragement, and for checking in on Kristi during this difficult week. We would love to continue supporting the Hughes family by providing meals as Kristi manages medical issues of her own while also caring for Dan after his hospital stay. Meals would be a huge blessing to their family right now. Since the Hughes family lives in Ohio, we have arranged for meals to be brought to church on Sundays. Janice Garman will transport meals to Ohio, and later in the week Kristi’s daughter, Emily Lebrecht, along with Jonna Shoda, will help deliver additional meals to them. You may notice more than one meal listed for a single day — this is intentional so they can have enough meals to last several days due to the travel distance. If you have any questions about meal drop-off or coordinating delivery, please contact Emily at 260-445-5967. Thank you, church family, for your love, prayers, and support for the Hughes family!
