On 9/8/26 Angela Thompson’s home caught fire and was completely destroyed. Everything they had is gone. The fire started in Angela’s room, and her son William Thompson was home alone at the time. He was in the basement, was taken to UC, and thankfully he is safe. William shared: > “Yes I was the only one home and yes I’m ok. I’m grateful and thankful that God woke me up and got me alert enough to understand the situation when He did. Please pray for my family as we navigate through this and the next steps.” Angela said: > “All material things gone but I’m not worried about that. My son is safe. God protected my son! I have cried and now I wait to see what God has planned for me and my family.” And her sister in law Vicky said it best: > “Today is a day no one plans. My sister Angela Edel’s house caught fire this morning and everything completely destroyed. Please pray for my family while we try to figure this out.” 🙏🏽 First and foremost, we are asking for prayers. Prayers of protection, strength, peace and guidance as they figure out what comes next. I have spoken with the Red Cross, and they are helping the family with a hotel while they begin navigating this devastating loss. Sometimes we don’t realize how much we have until everything is suddenly gone. Today, the family is not worried about replacing material things — they are grateful that William is alive and that God protected him. ❤️ So please, before anything else, pray for William, Angela and the entire family. Pray that God gives them strength, provides every need, and makes a way where they may not yet see a way. And to everyone who has already called, texted, prayed, or offered to help — thank you. We truly appreciate you!
