Jamille's Journey: Beat Cancer with Me

Moreno Valley, CA

W
Story

Hi friends and family, I wanted to share some important news with you. I have recently been diagnosed with Classical Hodgkin's Lymphoma, stage 2B. This type of blood cancer is known for being highly treatable with chemotherapy. My stage indicates that the cancer is present in two locations above my diaphragm, and the "B" means I am experiencing symptoms like chills, night sweats, weight loss, and loss of appetite. This classification suggests that the cancer is fast-growing, so treatment needs to begin promptly. Mid-August, I had a lump appear on my left clavicle with some intense neck and chest pain. Thanks to Google, I freaked out and made an appointment right away. 3 biopsies, 2 CTs, 1 hospital stay later, I've got my diagnosis and most importantly my treatment plan. I will be starting my chemotherapy on September 19th, with a plan for 6 rounds of treatment—12 doses in total, administered every other week. My real need right now is for your prayers and thoughts of strength. Please sign in to leave a message below; I will be reading these during treatment to draw strength from your words. I can’t express how grateful I am for all the love and support I’ve already received. I’ve set up this page to keep everyone updated and to stay connected with you during this journey. Thank you for being part of this with me. I’m so thankful for each and every one of you.
