We are sad to share this news but need to ask our community for support. Many know Joshua as a hard worker and a good man. He would give you the shirt off his back and has made many connections and friendships here. On December 15th 2025, Joshua expressed concerns about numbness and tingling in his feet and legs paired with severe back pain and decided to start seeing a chiropractor. By the17th, Joshua was admitted to the hospital , slowly losing his ability to walk and use his hands. The ER quickly started running tests and found a mass attached to his spine and also have diagnosed him with GBS. GBS is a rare autoimmune disease triggered by a cold or virus that attacks your nerves and causes the body to become paralyzed. They gave him a 5 day IV treatment and sent him to PT to start learning to walk again. After thinking he was making progress they sent him home January 5th, where his condition did not improve but got worse. He went back to the ER January 7th and is now admitted and waiting for a second opinion about the mass on his spine. He may be moved to surgery and more testing. We are asking for donations to help cover medical costs, equipment, medications and co-pays he will need when he does finally come home.
