Many of you have noticed the absence of our dear colleague Leon Thomas. Many are also aware of the recent challenges his wife has faced battling breast cancer. Not many may know that Leon is now in the ultimate fight for his own return to normal living. He was overcome with a virus that lowered his immune system and ultimately left him paralyzed from the neck down. While hopes are high for a full recovery, Leon was recently transferred from ICU and hospital care to a long term care facility who could better manage his day to day needs. The road has been long for the Thomas', but they have been welcomed into our family and we want to show them we care. With the continuous challenges of medical care needs, bills that I don't even want to imagine and just the day to day of managing a household with a teenager, I'd like to ask each of you to consider donating to show Leon and his family the love and care we have for our own!
