The Wright family is enduring every parent’s worst nightmare. Their beloved 19-year-old son, Deonte Wright, was tragically and senselessly taken from them. As they struggle through the shock, heartbreak, and overwhelming responsibilities that follow such a devastating loss, our community is coming together to support them in the ways we can. One of the most meaningful and immediate ways we can help is by ensuring the family has consistent, nourishing meals. There are seven people in the home, including children who are grieving deeply and processing this trauma in their own ways. Cooking, grocery shopping, and planning meals are understandably the last things on their minds. While their appetites are understandably low right now, warm comfort foods with real nutritional value can provide not just sustenance, but a sense of care, grounding, and stability during this incredibly painful time. Food Notes & Preferences: • No dietary restrictions. • One child loves broccoli in any form. • Another loves chicken nuggets. • Overall, they are not picky eaters, and all lovingly prepared dishes are appreciated. • Meals that reheat well or provide leftovers are especially helpful. By contributing to this meal train, you are helping lighten the daily load for grieving parents and their children as they face unimaginable loss. Your kindness offers them one small piece of comfort as they navigate each difficult day. Thank you for showing up for this family with love, compassion, and community.
