Ericka Surgery Support

I’m incredibly grateful for the parents, families, friends, and members of our school community who know and have asked how they can support me during my upcoming surgery and recovery. On August 27th, I will be undergoing a major abdominal surgery to address several health concerns that have significantly impacted my quality of life and fertility. The procedure will require an extended recovery period and several weeks away from the classroom so that I can focus on healing properly. As someone who is usually always moving, creating, teaching, and taking care of others, I know this season will require me to slow down and allow others to pour into me, and I am incredibly thankful for everyone who has already offered to do just that. This Giving Kind page was created for those who have asked how they can help. Support through meals, groceries, recovery essentials, gift cards, or simply a kind message and prayer will help make the weeks following surgery a little easier. There is a calendar and a wishlist. Please know that there is absolutely no expectation to give. Your prayers, encouragement, and thoughtfulness mean more to me than you know. I am looking forward to taking the time I need to heal, regain my strength, and eventually return to my students and the work that I love.
