Our dear friend, Efren Sifuentes, began chemotherapy today as he fights cardiac angiosarcoma. Efren and his family have a long road ahead, and we would love to come together as a community to make things just a little easier for them during this time. Efren and Mallory have five kids, all busy with various sports and extracurricular activities. Between appointments, treatments, practices, and games, finding the time and energy to get dinner on the table can be a real challenge. Our hope is to take one small thing off their plate by helping provide dinners for the family. If you're able to participate, we would especially appreciate healthy, nourishing meals that can help support the family during this season. The family is happy to receive meals through drop-off by 4:00 PM, which will allow everyone to eat before heading off to their evening activities. Whether you bring a home-cooked meal, have something delivered, or contribute in another way, every bit of support means so much. Thank you for surrounding the Sifuentes family with love, encouragement, and a little extra help when they need it most.
Porch delivery is best. The family has no food allergies. Efren is currently trying to eat mostly no- or low-carb meals and is avoiding sugar, so healthy, nourishing options that fit those preferences are especially appreciated. Some of the family's favorite local restaurants are Backwoods, Bravo Cafe, and Gold Dust.
