Caring for Summer with Love

Lodi, CA

Story

We’re so excited to celebrate and welcome Summer and her little one! To help the family adjust and soak in these first precious weeks, we’ve set up this page for meals and support catered to Summer’s needs. Your kindness and generosity mean the world to them. Thank you for being part of the circle of love and care that will make this transition even more special! 💕

Special Notes

Here are some notes as a guideline for support . Summer has no food restrictions or allergies, but she’s not a fan of fish, pesto, or mushrooms , so please keep that in mind when preparing meals. Meal Delivery Plan: • To help prevent food waste, we’re aiming for 1 meal every 2–3 days. • Portions should be enough for both Summer and Nick (please count Nick as two ) 😅 • If possible, please write the contents of your meal and the delivery date on the container for visibility. • Disposable containers are preferred so nothing needs to be returned. • Easy-to-reheat casseroles and freezer-friendly meals are especially appreciated. Meal & Snack Ideas : Summer enjoys the following meals , but is open to anything truly! • Italian food (Spaghetti with meat sauce, French Bread, Alfredo dishes) • Mexican food (Enchilada Casseroles, Tacos) • Cinnamon rolls • Mac & cheese • Hearty salads (Cobb Salad or salads with toppings like bacon, eggs, fruit, avocado, etc.) • Vegetable sides (Green beans, asparagus, broccoli) • Meats: Chicken and beef Snacks are also a big help as these quick, nutrient-rich bites will fuel Summer in between meals: Favorite Snacks • Chomp Sticks • Smart Pop • Cuties (mandarins) • Protein bars (Barebells) • Strawberries • Blueberries • Diet Pepsi • Cheddar or String cheese • Coconut water Takeout Options: If cooking isn’t your thing or time is tight, DoorDash or takeout is just as wonderful. Honestly, they’re happy with anything, but just in case you need some inspo, here are a few things they love. Here is a list of favorite restaurants and dishes. DoorDash & Takeout Favorites for Summer and Nick: • Casa Flores: Chicken taco dinner, asada super burrito with green salsa • Ono Hawaiian BBQ: Chicken plate • Taco Bell: Cheesy Gordita Crunch, bean burritos (no onions), crunchy tacos. • Nick: chicken rice and bean burritos • The Habit Burger: Santa Barbara Cobb salad with ranch, cheeseburger, fries. • Nick: cheeseburger or chicken sandwich with fries • In-N-Out (not on DoorDash) : • Summer: Cheeseburger meal, no onions, fries, side of pickles, Diet Coke • Nick: Double-double with regular onion, burger with onion, fries, Diet Coke • Shangri La Visitor Guidelines: At this time, Summer will only be accepting drop-offs so she can focus on healing and the new baby. • Please text before arriving so she is informed. • We’ll do our best to schedule times, but flexibility is appreciated because baby schedules can change quickly. Other Ways to Show Love Meals aren’t the only way to support. Summer would also be grateful for help with: • Watering plants • Laundry • Walking Rusty • Light household tasks Gift cards are another wonderful option to help with last-minute baby needs, medicine, or supplies (Amazon, Target, Costco, and Walmart are especially useful). This is such a special time, and we’d love for Summer to feel wrapped in love and care. Thank you for helping us surround her with support as she transitions into motherhood. The Millers are so grateful for all the love and support and truly appreciate all the ways everyone has helped and celebrated with them.
