In August of 2023 our landlord decided to sell the house we were renting and literally gave us 30 days to vacate. Seeing as we are both disabled and on Social Security, we of course ended up in an awful, awful motel. We have been living with cocroaches and even found a rat in here. Its just that we don't even have the money to go anywhere else or even get a place to call home. The problem is the security deposit plus first (and sometimes) last months rent is too much and we just don't have that much living on social security. And we have mentioned to a few private landlords that Social Services would help us get in the home, thats when they just say no, and these landlords want nothing to do with us. To add to everything, right after being kicked out of our home, I had a hysterectomy that October due to the worsening of my Endometriosis, and PCOS and after surgery was officially diagnosed with Adenomyosis and Interststal Cystitis. The worsening stress and anxiety has put me in the hospital, I was diagnosed with optic neuritis and almost lost my eyesight in my left eye. My anxiety and stress has just been awful and again with that I've been in and out of the hospital and ER. And my chronic pain has been nonstop and just getting worse by the day. I do have my Emotional Support Cat, Harley and I honestly don't know what I'd do or where I'd be without him. Because he is my everything! If anyone can find it in their hearts to please help my family out, even if its $1 anything helps at this point. I cry so much I just want a place to call HOME. I also want to add that I'm a 40yr old Autistic female, making things harder and more difficult to deal with its extremely overstimulating. My battery is bulging out the back of my phone and so my phone is literally a ticking time bomb. I'm going to have to figure out a way to get a new one because my phone is also getting so incredibly hot. I just want some kind of financial relief, I can't handle much more... Its my, my common law husband and my Emotional Support Cat, Harley.
