Caring for Cooper with Amber Schulte and Trevor Seeman

W
Story

Why We're Starting This Page ❤️ Cooper was born 9/13/26 with congenital heart defects and has been receiving care in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) at the University of Iowa since 2 days old. His journey has been anything but easy. He continues to face challenges, especially with regulating his blood pressure, and his medical team is working tirelessly to help his little body grow stronger and become more stable. With an unknown length of an extended hospital stay comes so much uncertainty for his family. They are utilizing the Ronald McDonald House to stay close to him while navigating the emotional, physical, and financial challenges of having a critically ill child. We are starting this page to keep family and friends updated on his journey, surround his family with love and prayers, and provide an opportunity for others to support them during this difficult season. Financial support will help with everyday expenses such as meals, gas, transportation, and other necessities that come with being away from home for an extended period of time. Our hope is to ease even a small part of that burden so his parents can focus on what matters most: being by their son's side while still caring for Cooper's 3 older siblings. We are praying boldly for healing, for strength in this precious little boy's body, and for wisdom and guidance for every doctor, nurse, and medical professional caring for him. We pray for peace, endurance, and comfort for his parents and siblings as they walk through each uncertain day. We know that God is good, even when life is hard. We know that He is faithful, even when we don't understand His plans. And we know that no matter what tomorrow holds, Jesus is our hope. "God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble." Psalm 46:1 Thank you for loving, praying for, and supporting this precious little boy and his family. Every prayer, donation, encouraging word, and act of kindness is a blessing. Our hope is in Jesus... yesterday, today, and whatever tomorrow may bring. ❤️
