I"It’s hard to find the words to share this, but I have recently been diagnosed with Ovarian cancer. As I begin to navigate this diagnosis, I’m realizing that as much as I like to be independent, this is a journey I simply cannot take alone. So many of you have reached out with such heart, asking how you can help. Truthfully, I am at a point where I need to be open and vulnerable about my situation. Because of the toll treatments will take on my body and my immune system, I am currently unable to work. I am relying on disability benefits, but the heartbreaking reality is that my monthly check doesn't even cover the cost of a roof over my head, let alone the specialized nutrition and medical co-pays I need/ I’m struggling to balance basic survival with the costs of fighting this cancer. My goal is to raise $4000 to ensure my rent is covered and my medical bills are paid so I can focus all my energy on my health instead of the constant fear of losing my home. If you are able to contribute financially, I am using Cash App to keep things simple: My Cash App: $SimoneBettina A Note on Meals & Groceries: To keep my immune system strong, I have to follow strict diet restrictions (no raw, unpasteurized, or highly acidic foods). Because my appetite changes daily, digital gift cards for Walmart or Instacart are a lifesaver—they allow me to order exactly what my body can handle in the moment. Whether it’s a donation, a grocery delivery, or just a prayer and a check-in—every bit of it helps me breathe a little easier. Thank you for being my village and for surrounding me with so much love. It means more than I can ever put into words. Thank you and much Love, Simone
No raw/rare meats or raw sprouts (high infection risk). Cooked veggies only (easier on the digestion). Low acid (no lemon, lime, or spicy peppers). Plastic utensils are actually better for me right now than metal ones!
