As many of you know, I recently had a hysterectomy and am now in the midst of a month-long recovery period. While I am grateful that the surgery is behind me and looking forward to feeling better, recovery comes with some strict limitations. My doctor has instructed me not to stand for long periods of time and to avoid pushing, pulling, lifting, and other activities that could interfere with the healing process. My husband works out of town during the week, which means I will be home recovering on my own for much of this time. With these restrictions in place, preparing meals and managing everyday household tasks has been especially difficult. Following my doctor’s instructions is important to ensure I heal properly and avoid complications. Several people have asked how they can help, and a Meal Train would be one of the biggest blessings for our family during this recovery period. Having meals available allows me to focus on resting and healing rather than worrying about grocery shopping, cooking, and cleaning up afterward. Please know there is absolutely no expectation or obligation. Your prayers, encouragement, and support mean so much to us. But if you would like to help in a practical way, providing a meal would ease a significant burden during this season and help our family tremendously. Thank you for your kindness, generosity, and support. We are truly grateful for the village that surrounds us and helps carry us through life’s challenging moments.
