To some she is mom, to others she is MeMe. Some know her as Hock and others know her as “the baby nurse” or “the booby nurse” from her days in NICU and Lactation. Regardless of the name or title she had held, everyone would agree that to know her is to love her. She has always been the most selfless person, loving others in ways that leave forever impressions on their hearts and in their lives. Over 40 years of her life has been dedicated to helping others navigate illness and unforeseen events in their lives, as she worked among the tiniest of humans who held the very core of their parents’ hearts in the palm of their quarter sized hands. Linda has had some health struggles over the past year but everything came to a head on May 9, 2025, when she had chest pain and shortness of breath requiring an unplanned visit to the place she called home for many years. God worked in that scenario, allowing a scan that should not include a view of her kidneys to inadvertently capture something concerning. Under the care and supervision of the most amazing medical team, Linda received the news that she had a cancerous mass in her kidney and would need to have the entire kidney removed. She will be undergoing a total nephrectomy on Monday, May 19, 2025. As she is one to never ask for anything and often declines any support, this is our time to shine. For all the lives changed by her existence, let’s come together to change hers and show her how loved, appreciated, and supported she is through this journey.
