I'm Brandi Clark daughter of Irvin Vink. My dad been through a lot these passed 3 years. Brain surgery due to a fall and bleeding on the brain. Then lost his loving wife in January of 2023. He's always been the caregiver of my Mother but she always knew how to cook. Dad found out he had prostate Cancer. He broke his ankle then shortly after that decided to work on prostate cancer. During that time they found lung Cancer. So after all scans and MRI we found out it was stage 3 lung cancer. They want to get that taken care of before the prostate. So which brings us to 6 weeks for now of Chemo and Radiation treatments. CHEMO is one day a week for 3 plus hours held in Pella for right now. Radiation is 5 days a week in Des Moines. We are in the process of trying to get dad hotel room so he can stay during the week in Des Moines just can't afford trips back and forth to Pella every day. Especially if treatments is going go make him weak. I know Dad Irvin should be home Friday and Saturday nights maybe Sunday depending if we end up doing CHEMO in Des Moines also. But looking to help maybe have dinners for him those nights home cooked meals. But during the week possible doordash or food cards where he his able to get food up in Des Moines.
