Kaysee & Brodi

Story

Kaysee and Brodi went in for a regular checkup on Tuesday, June 10th, with her new doctors. Thank goodness they did! Baby John, they were told was measuring at 28 weeks despite being 32 weeks along. That along with Kaysee having preeclampsia, lead to the decision to transport that night to Loyola University Medical Center. After one day and night in the hospital under the best team of high risk doctors, it was decided that baby needed to be born via c-section despite concerns of lung development. Outside of utero was considered better given mom and babies situations. Kaysee and Brodi were prepped for surgery and John Robert Vitale II was born at 32 weeks on June 12, 2025 at 10:17 am. He is doing far better than expected but will need to be in the NICU for, at minimum, one month and a half. Mom and dad will be staying at the Ronald McDonald house near Loyola, but this is 2 hours from home and family. Any meals that can be provided will help with the burden being placed on them currently.

Special Notes

They don’t have dietary restrictions or allergies.
