On what started as a normal day at work, Shawn was involved in a devastating construction accident. To avoid commercial trusses falling on top of him, he needed to jump 15 feet down onto the concrete floor. Shawn suffered a serious fall that resulted in multiple severe injuries, including broken vertebrae in his back. His L1 vertebra was shattered and dangerously close to his spinal cord, requiring surgery to stabilize his spine with rods and screws. He also sustained multiple fractures to his pelvis. Shawn has a very long road to recovery ahead and will be unable to work for quite some time. During this incredibly difficult time, we are hoping to surround Shawn, Deanne, and their family with as much love and support as possible\.
