Jason Henry's Recovery

Syracuse, IN

Story

Jason had a routine surgery earlier this year and they found a mass. It came back positive for a very rare cancer, liposarcoma. After being referred to the cancer center in Gosehn they sent him to the University of Michigan where he will have to undergo another surgery to remove a tumor in his pelvis as well as surrounding tissue until they reach cancer free cells. His surgery will take place 9/26. This type of cancer does not respond well to chemo or radiation, but we pray all margins will be cleared on his upcoming surgery. We will stay at the University a couple of nights and Jason will be off work a period of time while he recovers. For the next 5 years Jason will need monitoring every 4 months. If there are no growths in that time frame monitoring will go to every 6 months. Please keep our family in your thoughts during these hard times.
