Sweet Baby Briar Charles Lewis joined his fam 6 weeks early on September 12th at 2:43pm, weighing 5 lbs 9 oz and 18.5 inches long. Aubrey’s water broke at 33 weeks and 3 days and she was able to stay in the hospital on bedrest until 34 weeks to give the baby’s lungs more time to develop. She had a c section and is recovering well from everything, all things considered! Briar is currently in the NICU and doing much better. He is off his CPAP machine, breathing on his own and recovering from a collapsed lung. The biggest prayer request right now is for him to eat on his own and keep food down. He will be here for a few weeks and Aubrey and Mason will be traveling back and forth to the hospital to spend time with him. While this is never easy, Briar is in great hands with the nurses and staff in the NICU. The most tangible way to help them and show love is to give giftcards they can use on the way to and from the hospital for food or even for groceries.
