PLEASE Help Me Make the Journey to See My Grandkids ON OCTOBER 1ST... There are moments in life that change you forever. For me, one of those moments came in 2023, when I lost my daughter Alexis (23) and my grandson Jaxson (3) when they became trapped in a devastating house fire. There are no words that can truly explain what it feels like to lose a child. And losing a grandchild at the same time is a pain I will carry with me for the rest of my life. Their lives were taken far too soon, and there are so many things I wish I could have said, so many memories I wish we could have made, and so many moments I wish I could have had back. That loss changed something inside of me. It reminded me just how precious and fragile life is—and how quickly the people we love can be taken from us. My children and granbabies are all I have and i miss them so much. That's why I'm reaching out now. My kids and grandbabies moved across the country to Washington shortly after loosing my other daughter and grandson. I love them more than words can say, and I want to make the journey to see them. I want to hug them, sit with them, laugh with them, listen to their stories, make memories, and simply be there. I don't want distance or circumstances to keep me from the people I love. After losing my daughter and grandson, I've realized more than ever that tomorrow isn't guaranteed. We can always tell ourselves we'll make the trip someday, we'll spend more time together later, or we'll make those memories when things get easier. But sometimes, life doesn't give us "later." I want to make those memories now. I'm hoping to raise enough money to travel across the country and cover the expenses of the journey—gas, lodging, food, and other necessities along the way. I'm not looking for a luxury vacation. I'm asking for help making a journey that is deeply personal and incredibly important to me. Every donation, no matter how small, will help put another mile behind me and bring me one step closer to my grandchildren. If you can't donate, I completely understand. Sharing this fundraiser may be just as valuable. Someone you know may be able to help, and simply helping spread the word would mean so much to me. I've already learned the hardest possible lesson about how quickly life can change. I don't want to miss the opportunity I still have to create beautiful memories with the family I have here today. Help me cross the miles. Help me make the memories. Help me get to my grandkids. Thank you for taking the time to read my story. Thank you for caring. And thank you to anyone who chooses to donate or share this fundraiser. From the bottom of my heart, thank you. With love, APRIL
I will be driving there so anything donated will be to help with those expenses such as food, hotel, gas, etc. Anything above those expenses will help with making memories and spending time with those babies.
