Caring For Tony - Support for Tony's Cancer Fight

Story

Tony is a father and retired soldier: spending the last 2 years as a primary caretaker after having dedicated over 20 years to the United States Army. Tony recently got very sick and has now received a diagnosis of aggressive stage IV metastasized adenocarcinoma colon cancer. It has spread to nodules in his lungs, and lymph nodes. Stage IV metastasized colon cancer has a median survival time of 30 months with a 5 year survival rate of 13%, but regardless of numbers or prognosis, all we can focus on right now is treatment. We have requested genetic sequencing for chemotherapy and have an urgent referral in for oncology. He has already had 2 surgeries: 1 to get a chemo port in, 1 for colostomy due to the tumor in the colon being so big that he was at risk for an obstruction. Both surgeries went well. Sarah is preparing everything she can for the challenges ahead, and is asking for help. She will be taking care of Tony, (almost) 9 year old Gunnar, and everything that comes along with all of that - whilst also working full time and searching for a new position as her contract ends at the end of the year. She will need all the help that she can get and currently does not know what will be available via insurance or other services. This GoFundMe https://gofund.me/0672e1f4c will help with medical costs, bills, transportation, household help, childcare, meal delivery, and more. If there's something you wish to suggest or offer, please do. To find asks or updates, visit this "Caring For Tony" GiveInKind page any time (info still in the works including non-monetary asks, and a meal & grocery delivery calendar).

Special Notes

Ask - An adjustable height rolling bedside table. Larger is better. Can someone please choose and send one directly to the house?
