Hi everyone, I am reaching out as a last resort because I am completely stuck. I am a single mom to an amazing autistic son, and we have no family to turn to. Recently, our windshield broke. I paid $256 out of pocket for a replacement, but the glass company refused to install it because there is rust on the frame that needs to be fixed first.Trying to fix this quickly, I paid a private mechanic $180 of my remaining money to repair the rust, but he did not do it properly and left the car unsafe. Now, my money is completely gone, the glass company still cannot safely install the windshield, and I cannot safely drive my son to his appointments. am trying to raise $300 to have a professional shop correctly fix the frame so our new windshield can finally be put on. This is a 2009 Nissan, I paid cash for about 7 years ago. I'm still trying with this car, because it's my only option, I cannot afford a car payment or extra insurance right now. I spent all my savings on this car last year, for various things that needed fixed. I am completely drained right now, and on a fixed income.
