Ukrainian Refugee BREAKFAST Meal Train PROMISE CHURCH HUB

chula Vista, CA

Story

MEAL TRAIN IS OVER Thank you so much to everyone who donated to the meal train. The amount of happiness it produced was enormous! I am so proud of our community to come together and help these people fleeing an unimaginable horror back home. Thank you for sharing your cooking skills with others. It is over because the US/Mexican border is now closed to the Ukrainians to enter. They now have a new program where they can apply online and wait (hopefully not months) and then receive permission to fly directly to their final destination in the US. Thank you once again. This is effective on 4/25/22. Update: 4/8/2022 -PLEASE MAKE WHATEVER AMOUNT YOU CAN. NO DONATION IS TOO SMALL. Any effort helps and I am so grateful for your time and effort. -Contact information: Kimberlee Alaniz [email protected] Please reach out with questions or concerns :) Update: 4/6/2022 Hi! An influx of refugees is expected to rapidly increase over the next few days and most likely will continue. While originally we were asking for 25+ the center could have anywhere to 50+. Please know we are grateful and appreciate whatever quantity of meal donation you can provide. If you would like to donate a meal but feel it won’t feed as many, please don’t hesitate to reach out. You can absolutely still help! I can connect with the center so additional breakfast items can be added or I find additional support. Thank you for visiting this page and thank you for taking action in this time of need. -Not nearby and still want to help? Please consider one of the gift card options. Grocery gift cards will be used to purchase groceries for meals on days where we have no volunteers or to keep fresh food at the center. Any and all gift cards will be used to help meet the food needs at the center. Costco giftcards are helpful as well as they help us feed a lot of people for an affordable amount. Costco chickens have turned out to be a favorite. How awesome is that!?! -Kimberlee Alaniz DROP OFF Promise Church: 630 Corte Maria Ave, Chula Vista 91910 Park in the parking lot on the west side of the building. there is a door there and someone will help you. I was asked by one of the organizers at the HUB at Promise Church in Chula Vista to create a breakfast meal train. There is already an active one for dinner going around.
