Standing With Kevin as He Battles Advanced Cancer

Benicia, CA

Story

In 2021, Kevin was diagnosed with a rare liposarcoma cancer, and the tumor was successfully removed through surgery. In 2025, the cancer returned in the same location. Kevin completed five weeks of radiation, and the tumor was again successfully removed. In August 2025, we celebrated the wonderful news that he was cancer-free. Our world changed on March 6, 2026, when Kevin’s oncologist told us the cancer had returned and spread rapidly. Kevin is now facing stage 4 cancer, with tumors in his abdomen and right hip. This is a very serious diagnosis, but Kevin is approaching treatment with strength and determination. He began AIM chemotherapy on March 12 and will undergo treatment for the next 9–12 weeks. Kevin is tough as nails and has an incredible fighting spirit. We are facing this battle head-on so he can continue his life as a husband, father, brother, friend, and coach for as long as possible. Any support for our family as we navigate the months ahead means more than we can express. Thank you for standing with Kevin and our family during this time. With love, The Kirby Family
