From the heart of Star City, the residents of Pace Place are eager to build meaningful community partnerships. Since opening its doors this August, Pace Place has welcomed 12 inspiring residents who are making a lifelong dream a reality by pursuing their independence. Pace Enterprises took a bold leap of faith to provide housing and opportunity for individuals with exceptionalities. It has been a true testament of “If you build it, They will come”. One by one, the newcomers filled the vacancies. They proudly made their space their own, with a clear vision for their future. Pace Place residents are focused on developing their life skills and working to become the most self-sufficient versions of themselves. It is well known that this new venture is not without challenges. Limitations will always exist for the residents, and one of the biggest they face is meal preparation and cooking. This is where Partners of Pace Place can make a huge difference. THE OBJECTIVE: Encouraging community groups, businesses, and individuals to Partner with the residents of Pace Place by signing up for one day each month to provide or sponsor a meal for our 12 residents. Meals can be as simple or elaborate as the Partners of PACE Place chooses. A fast-food burger is as meaningful as a tray of lasagna for the residents. The kindness is what's valued. Receiving the gift of a meal reaches deep into the hearts of PACE Place residents. It provides them an abundance of relief in a world where challenges can overwhelm their lives.
