Love for Melodee

minneapolis, MN

Story

Our beloved Melodee has been diagnosed with Metastatic Neuroendocrin Carcinoma, a cancer (she is calling "BRUTUS!") that has developed in her stomach and liver. We are creating this GiveInKind page for Melodee and loved ones to be able to provide updates and support during her treatment journey. The plan now is for Melodee to start chemotherapy on Monday 12/8/25. She will receive treatment infusions on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday every 3 weeks. Her chemo regimen will include Etoposide and Carboplatin and each infusion should take between 2-3 hours. Because the treatment will lower her white blood count and compromise her immunity and ability to fight off infections and illnesses, we all need to be careful when visiting Melodee to wash our hands and wear a mask and take care not to expose her to any colds, flu, etc. Melodee is a beautiful, tenacious, STRONG woman with a huge heart and solid faith. She will fight this cancer and win. Let's support and cheer her on in this battle. Stay tuned for more updates and specific ways to support Melodee and her son, Romario, as they navigate this disease and treatment. For now, Melodee could use help covering medical bills by donating to her Venmo account linked on the right of this page.
